After a tournament exiting loss, University of Kentucky's head basketball coach, John Calipari, said after the game on Saturday that this loss was a team effort, but not one to hold their heads down on.

He attributed the loss due to many missed shots and lack of breakaways, something the other team he said was not short on.

He said that these are the games where baskets matter, along with accuracy the of shots and free throws, even if not all of them make it throw the net. “You don’t have to make them all, you just can’t miss them all,” Calipari said.

Calipari also stated that his team had held together and pushed their way through the game and season, holding each other accountable and not letting blame fall on any single player.

“What this team has been through, individually, as a group, how they stay together,” said Calipari. They loved each other, they covered for each other, and they worked their buts off for us, as a staff, and me as a head coach.”
